Questions
The things people have already asked us. If yours isn't here, message us.
Do I need to come for the whole week?
No, though we’d love you there from Saturday 28 August: the days before the wedding are the best part. Every day before Friday is optional. If you can’t make the start, land by Wednesday 1 September at the latest; see getting there for why. And stay for Sunday: the morning after the wedding is our beach brunch, so fly home on Monday 6 September.
How do I RSVP?
Open now Tell us on Count me in: whether you’re coming, roughly when, and what you’re up for. It takes two minutes and you can change it any time. The formal invitation, with a personal link for each household, follows in the spring.
Can I bring my partner?
Yes. Husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends: partners are welcome all week and at the wedding. Tell us their name when you RSVP.
Can I bring my children?
We’d love this to be a grown-up week. The welcome party and the wedding are adults only.
If your children travel with you, Ortigia is easy with kids during the day. To be confirmed Whether children can come to the Sunday beach brunch.
Where exactly is the wedding?
Near Ortigia. The exact place is a surprise, and we’ll tell you how to get there closer to the date.
Do I need a car?
Not to enjoy Ortigia. The island is walkable and closed to most traffic. A car helps for beaches and day trips. See where to stay and getting there.
Gifts?
Having you come all this way is the gift. If you’d like to give something, we’ll add details here closer to the date.
Money and phones
Italy uses the euro. Cards work almost everywhere, but carry some cash for small cafés and markets. If you’re coming from outside the EU, check your roaming or buy an eSIM before you fly.
Who do I ask?
Either of us, on WhatsApp. We’d rather you ask than guess.
